The Student Recruitment and Retention Center supports student-led cultural graduation celebrations each academic year and serves as the advising department for two graduation celebrations. Both celebrations are planned by student leaders for students and supported by their respective community programs. All students are welcome to attend and celebrate with their peers.
Filipinx Graduation Celebration
FilGrad will be held at Wright Hall (210 Hutchison Dr, Davis, CA 95616) on Saturday, June 13, 2026, 6:30-9:30 p.m.
The Filipinx Graduation Celebration Ceremony (FilGrad) is an annual celebration honoring the personal and academic achievements of graduating students — both undergraduate and graduate — who identify as Filipinx American or are friends of the FilAm community. Fil-Grad differs from the UC Davis Commencement ceremonies held at the Golden 1 Center by providing an intimate, personal environment that fully embraces the significance of each graduating student's experience.

Southeast Asian Graduation Celebration
SEAGrad will be held at the California Hall (205 California Ave, Davis, CA 95616) on Friday, June 12, 2026, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The Southeast Asian Graduation (SEA Grad) is an annual graduation celebration commemorating the personal and academic achievements of graduating students — both undergraduate and graduate — who identify as Southeast Asian or are friends of the Southeast Asian community. The ceremony honors the experiences of Vietnamese, Hmong, Cambodian, Lu Mien, Laotian, Sino-Vietnamese, more Southeast Asian ethnic identities and allied graduates throughout their college careers. SEA Grad differs from the UC Davis Commencement ceremonies held at the Golden 1 Center by offering a more intimate and personal environment to celebrate our graduates and their successes.

The SRRC provides over $10,000 of sponsorship support to campus partners in their programming efforts to celebrate the accomplishments of the students that we serve.
Please note: While all graduation celebrations are open to all students, participation and guest count are limited to the capacity of the event venue and budget allocation for each celebration. Some events may include participant applications and RSVPs.
